Fashion Revolution Week is an annual campaign that encourages you to ask the important question: Who made my clothes? Every year it happens around the 24th April, which is the anniversary of the Bangladesh Rana Plaza factory collapse, where well over 1,000 people were killed and many more were injured. This year Fashion Revolution Week runs from the 22nd to the 28th of April and marks the 6th year anniversary of the collapse. The majority of the people who make clothes for the global market live in poverty. Many are subject to exploitation- verbal and physical abuse, working in unsafe and dirty conditions, with very little pay. In order to make the fashion industry accountable and sustainable, first it needs to be transparent.

Fashion Revolution campaigns for a more accountable fashion industry. Like them, we believe the first step towards positive change is greater transparency in the production process. Here at Something Wicked, we are proud that we can be transparent with our customers about their clothing’s journey. Every single piece of our lingerie is meticulously designed and carefully handmade to order in the UK. We are passionate about creating provocative lingerie laced with a clear conscience, and by manufacturing here in the UK, we can ensure that everything is made in an ethical environment to the highest standard. All our lingerie is made from start to finish by our team of skilled seamstresses. You hear about luxury brands disposing of unwated stock; we make everthing to order so we have no wasted stock or materials!

It's not just the journey our lingerie goes through that we are mindful about. Our beautiful leather accessories are handmade by an incredible female saddler in the UK. Our wax leather polish is handmade by an award-winning beekeeper from London using 100% natural ingredients. Even our luxury gift boxes come from an ethical British packaging company.

Our message as a brand is one of empowerment. As a brand we couldn’t stand up and say our products are for the empowerment of women, with the knowledge that any woman in our sourcing and manufacturing process is treated unfairly. With us, your lingerie can be wicked and your conscious can be clear!
